Dhote Principal A few likeminded people with philanthropic propensities from business and academic fraternity in Amravati joined hands with the noble objective of setting up an education society in the memory of a great freedom fighter, a social reformer and a noted philanthropist Late Vidarbha Kesari Shri. Brijlalji Biyani. The education society Shri. Brijlal Biyani Shiksha Samiti came into being in 1969. The society founded its first educational institute namely Brijlal Biyani Science College which was started in 1972 with the aim of catering to the needs of Vidarbhian people regarding quality education. Initially, it was a single faculty science college which over the years blossomed into a multifaculty educational institute running the programs in Science & Commerce at +2 level, B.Sc., B.B.A., B.C.A., B.Com.(C.A.), B.Voc. at Graduate level, M.Com, M.Sc.(Electronics), M.Sc(Botany) M.Sc(Chemistry), M.Sc.(Mathematics), M.Sc.(Computer Science) at Post Graduate Level, Post Graduate Diplomas in Bio-Medical Electronics (PGDBME) and Post Graduate Diploma in Mechatronics (PGDME) along with Ph.D. programs in Chemistry, Electronics and Botany. Since, very inception, the institution has focused its attention and made all possible efforts on imparting quality education, inculcating the sense of discipline and moral values among students. The enormous commitment and integrity with which the teaching faculty and other non-teaching employees worked has resulted in building up an institutional character recognized for its honesty and transparency of academic as well as administrative culture. The majority of Alumni spread not only across the country but across the globe have earnt the reputation of being meritorious, excellent, competent and honest in their chosen fields of endeavors. An imposing college building surrounded by greenery, studded with the tall trees, beautifully landscaped campus, the state of the art laboratories equipped with modern sophisticated instruments and the library with rich collection books, all together, make the institution ideally conducive to higher learning. The devotion and dedication of the highly qualified teaching faculty together with the non-teaching employees richly contribute to enhancing the glory of the institution.
