Dhote , in coordination with supporting leader Dr. P.B. Raghuwanshi, SIP convener Dr. R.R.Laharia, committee members, 18 teachers of all the nine activities, 51 Batch teachers, 112 senior students as stream leaders and student guides and student co-ordinators of all the ten batches having 610 first year students. A detail time table, Responsibility Matrix and batch having around 70-80 Students was prepared for the smooth conduction of all the nine activities, which were taken almost every day alternately for all the ten batches fully engaged throughout the day during the entire duration of program. The Major activities taken during the student induction program are as follows: • Physical Activity • Lectures by Eminent people • Familiarization to the department /branch • Mentoring • Literary Activity • Visit to local place • Extra -Curricular Activities in college. • Creative arts and culture • Feeback session Every day the program started with the Physical activity at 7.30 am followed by other activities. Student Induction Program has helped new students to fine-tune and feel comfortable in the new environment of the institution and built bonds with faculty member and other students and helped them to quickly blend in the new environment and understand institutional policies, processes, practices, culture and values, before starting their regular classes. Student induction program also helped the new student to expose them to a sense of responsiveness and helped them to identify their skills by self-exploration by involving in various activities. Thus the larger purpose to develop ones personality was served. |

2 | 2020-03-04 | Water analysis | 58 | On 4th March (BTZ) and 12th March 2020 (CBZ) students of B.Sc. collected the water sample for analysis and also to study the live planktons. The students of B.Sc.II have a protocol regarding water analysis in the practical Semester IV course. The teaching staff Dr.K.B.Sangve, along with CHB staff Mrs. K.Nagdeote, and Miss. S.V.Chikhalikar demonstrate the water analysis e.g pH, D.O., Free Co2 Hardness, protocol to the students. As they are the members of Nature Club they take this opportunity and they analyzed the physical and chemical parameters of water. Students observe the live planktons present in the water and prepare the permanent slide of planktons. |

Brijlal Biyani Shiksha Samiti’s Brijlal Biyani Science College, Amravati STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAM Date: 4th to 9thNovember 2020-21 The goal of higher education is to nurture human beings responsible for their betterment and capable of sustaining society and nature, besides enabling them to procure a position to earn their livelihood by knowing their skill., UGC has given the guidelines to cover these areas through SIP ( Deeksharambh). So, to serve this purpose of Deeksharambh, Brijlal Biyani Science College is the pioneer college in the Sant Gadge Baba, Amravati University area to organized a Student Induction Program (SIP) as per UGC Guidelines from 4th to 9th November 2020 for first year students of all five degree programs of the college. A student inducion Program was conducted under the guidence of Hon'ble Pincipal Dr. D.S. Dhote , in coordination with, SIP convener Dr. R.R.Laharia, committee members, 18 teachers of all the nine activities, 12 Batch teachers, of all the six batches having 561 first year students. A detail time table, Responsibility Matrix and batch having all the students was prepared for the smooth conduction of all the nine activities, which were taken almost every day for two hours for all the six batches were fully engaged throughout the day during the entire duration of program. The Major activities taken during the student induction program are as follows: • Physical Activity • Lectures by Eminent people • Familiarization to the department /branch • Mentoring • Literary Activity • Visit to local place • Extra -Curricular Activities in college. • Creative arts and culture • Feeback session The program was conducted online due to covid-19 from 1.00 pm. Every day around 487 students were fully engaged online daily for two hours during the entire duration of programme. The activity lecture by eminent person was conducted as per time table to guide and expose the students about how to cope with online mode of life and Personality development through lectures by the eminent guests. The students were made familiarize with various activities and different departments by the HODs of various departments as per time table. The students got familiar with all departments and were enlightened about the importance of all department & linkage between departments & office, office working, etc. under the activity Familiarization to department/branch. The mentoring activity was conducted to provide a platform for productive interaction and guidance for 1st year students. The activity helped the students to understand universal human values. They explored how to take decisions with courage, be aware of relationships, be sensitive to others, understand the role of money in life, and feeling of prosperity, difference between want and need, why to be patient, organized, etc. Human values as enshrine in our constitution like justice, liberty, equality, fraternity, human dignity and the unity and integrity were also understood. Literary activity was conducted with the objective to inculcate reading habits and to develop a positive approach towards learning new things among the students. Student were asked to read a book or write a Poem before SIP and submitted its review as an assignment . Some of the selected reviews and poems were read during literary activity A local visit to home garden: Due to the Pandemic Covid -19 and it was not possible for students to visit any place physically. So, they were asked to visit their Home Garden and spend atleast half an hour in garden , so that this activity will help them to remain close to the nature and also it will increase their observation skills. Under Extracurricular activities . In this activity all the batch students were asked to maintain and perform cleanliness at their home and also help their parents in their daily chores during the lockdown and also in future, in order to inculcate the habit of self decipline and importance of Hygiene and also an online lecture was arrange regarding the health and hygine. In order to expose the first year students to creative arts and culture, it was divided into two major activities as I) Art Exhibition and II) Mono Act play. The students were given different themes and were asked to submit the image or photos of the art created by them and also upload the video of monoact play through the assignments given to them. Various activities performed by students-were :- 1. Sketches and Poster making 2. Rangoli 3. Tattoo making 4. Singing 5. Dancing etc. All thestudents participated very enthusiastically in these events according to their skills and interest and got the big platform to identify their skills by exposing and involving in different activities and felt motivated and thus it proved to be beneficial in all the ways. Physical fitness is the most important aspect of one life, so in order to develop the culture of daily exercise routine among the student, various online activities like Zumba, Aerobics and Yoga online videos of eminent instructors were shown for the students during the SIP. During SIP every day students attended different activities as per the planned schedule and On the concluding day of SIP the Final feedback form were filled by the students through the google form. . Through the feedback student gave positive response for SIP. It had been a part of learning in a team. They strongly agreed that SIP helped to know the culture of college and enhance various skills among them and also helped them to understand the importance of reading writing, Cleanliness, Physical and mental health as well as explore various skills in them. Thus, every student involved in the program SIP got the big platform to identify their skills by exposing and involving in different activities and felt like motivated and thus it proved to be beneficial to all e students who had participated in SIP in all the ways. We extend our gratitude towards Adv. Shri. Ashok Rathiji, President, Shri. Brijlal Biyani Shiksha Samiti, Amravati, Executive committee, Principal, Dr. D.S. Dhote, in coordination with supporting leaders Dr. P.B. Raghuwanshi and Dr. G.D. Agrahari, SIP convener Mr. H.G. Paralikar, SIP committee members, 20 teachers of all the ten major activities and 20 mentor faculties of all 10 batches, 110 senior students as stream leaders, student guides and student co-ordinators of all the ten batches having all the first year students. A detail time table, Responsibility Matrix and batches having around 60-70 Students each was prepared for the smooth conduction of all activities, which were taken almost every day alternately for all the ten batches fully engaged throughout the day during the entire duration of program. Inauguration: On the very first day during the Inaugural program the chief guest Dr. Rajesh Jaypurkar, Principal, Arts, Commerce and Science College, Chikhaldara. He motivated students and also showed students the ways to acquire skills for future. Mr. H. G. Paralikar, Convener gave the introductory speech of SIP. Principal Dr. D.S. Dhote, Chairperson of the inaugural function, welcomed all and enlighten about the importance of SIP and its significance that it will not only help in developing ones personality but they will also get one Credit for participating in SIP. All the SIP committee members along with activity leaders, mentor faculties and Students were present for the inaugural function. Physical Activity Everyday then the program started with the Physical activity at 7.30 am. National Yoga instructor Mr. Manish Deshmukh taught yoga, meditation and Pranayam and motivated students to incorporate Yoga in day to day life, and Mr. Shailendra Pohekar of Samra School, taught various exercises along with different games. By participating in various games, Yoga and exercises the students learned the importance of the Physical activities as daily routine and as part of their life. Chintan On 21st, 24th and 25th July, under the activity called Chintan, in which a 7 mins speech was given by various teachers to create awareness on current situations or problems. On the very first day of Chintan Principal Dr. D.S. Dhote explained the students about the importance of the activity Chintan and asked everybody to be proactive and understand their responsibility. Dr. S. P. Nibjiya on ‘Your word defines your world’, Dr. R.R. Laharia on ‘Saflata ke bhi niyam hote hai’, Dr. S.R. Katke on ‘Relax and Watch your breath’, Mrs. M. A. Bhuptani on topic, ‘Choti choti baatein khushiyan badi badi’, Dr. P.R. Agrawal on ‘Science behind fear’ and Dr. L.A. Sharma gave her talk on, ‘Walk, don’t run!’. Lecture by Eminent Person The activity lecture by eminent person was conducted as per time table in which different eminent persons spoke on various topics. Dr. Rajiv Borkar informed students about ‘Student oriented schemes for University Students, Dr. Eknath Tatte on ‘Secret of Success’, Dr. N.D. Mane on Self Motivation’ and Mrs.Sarika on ‘Gender Sensitization’. The idea behind the lecture series is to give the students and faculty, an opportunity to interact with eminent personalities from different walks of life and thereby provide students not only with different perspectives, but also with potential resources that they can apply in future courses. Familiarization to Department The students visited batch-wise under a certain plan to various departments, labs, Principal Office, Library, NSS, NCC, Auditorium etc. of the college and got familiar with all departments, faculties, facilities under the activity Familiarization to department/branch. Mentoring The mentoring activity was conducted for all six days to provide a platform for productive interaction and guidance, through different activities. The activity helped the student to explore themselves and experienced the joy of learning, take decisions with courage, to be sensitive to others, difference between need and wants, understand the role of money in life, etc. Literary activity Literary activity was also conducted every day. The objective of literary activity was to enhance the literary skills, inculcate love for language and reading habits. various activities in the form of games were planned to encourage students to participate, thus students came to know about many new books., new terminology and were able to increase their communication skills, overcoming stage fear and leaned the importance of team building through these activities Visit to Local Place To give exposure to the new students to the local landmark places and colleges of city, a local visit to Degree College of Physical Education, HVPM was organized batchwise. Students were made aware of different courses and sports facilities available there. They gained the knowledge helpful to them in future. Extra-Curricular Activities To inculcate the social awareness among the students Principal Dr. D. S. Dhote and Dr. R. R. Laharia guided the students about general traffic rules and also a Social awareness quiz on ‘Identification of Traffic Symbols’ was conducted for all the bathes as per timetable. Creative Arts and Cultural In order to expose the first year students to creative arts and culture, different activities like Rangoli, Mehndi, Dance, Drama, Mimicry, One-act play, Singing and Waste to best were organised for all six days under creative arts and culture activity. Students enthusiastically participated in all these events according to their skills and interest. Thus the activity proved to give big platform for students to identify their skills by exposing and involving them in different activities. Girls and Boys Orientation While planning for Girls and Boys Orientation, it’s important to consider topics that are relevant to their overall development, well-being and success. Topics like Emotional Intelligence, personal development, physical health and hygiene, mental health and well-being, career exploration etc. were covered during the orientation. During both Girls and Boys Orientation Dr. R.R. Laharia informed students about all 39 facilitating mechanisms available in the institution. Biyani Katta App On 24th and 25th July, all students with different batches were informed about Biyani Katta App by Dr. V. S. Tondre. Students downloaded and installed the app in their mobile phone during same session. Health Activity On 24th and 25th July, during the health check-up camp, temperature level, BP, oxygen, level and pulse rate were checked. In all 355 students were benefited through this activity. Valedictory Function Valedictory Function was taken on last day of SIP in which the Chief Guest Mr. Ashok Mahalle, Co-ordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Amravati in his speech told that he is overwhelmed to see the participation of students in such big number and congratulated Principal, all the team members of SIP and faculties for the success of SIP. He added SIP is not only Student Induction Program but also a Student Investment Program in a real sense. Convener Mr. H. G. Paralikar gave the summary of SIP. Chairperson of the function Principal Dr. D. S. Dhote also appreciated students for their active participation and taking the benefit of One Credit. All the SIP committee members, activity leaders, mentor faculties along with senior and first year students were present during the function. During Valedictory two students from each batch were happy to express their views and feedback orally, that how they enjoyed every activity SIP, which had helped them to enhance their moral values towards society as well as responsibility towards college. An online feedback form was also filled by the students which included different question regarding SIP to express their views for all the activities which they participated. Through the feedback student gave positive response for SIP and all the activities included in it. In all 481 students gave online feedback. The inauguration took place at 10.30 A.M. on 24th January 2019 at the hands of Honourable Raviji Rana, MLA Badnera Matdar Sangh and Dr.Ranjit Patil Ex-Minister Maharahtra state in presence of Honourable Adv.Shri Ashokji Rathi President of the programme and President Shri Brijlal Biyani Shiksha Samiti Amravati. On this occasion Honourable Rajendraji Navander,Secretary ,Shri Brijlal Biyani Shiksha Samiti Amravati, Honourable Shri Sunilji Goenka,joint secretary, Shri Brijlal Biyani Shiksha Samiti,Amravati Dr.D.S.Dhote,Principal, Brijlal Biyani Science College, Amravati, Dr.S.J.Ishwarkar Incharge Annual Social Gathering, Mr.A.K.Shende,Incharge students council as well as Ms.Radha Kale, Secretary of students council were present on the Dias. The function was chaired by Adv. Ashokji Rathi, President Shri Brijlal Biyani Shiksha Samiti, Amravati. Prof.Suraj Here introduced the chief guest to the audience. The inauguration ceremony was anchored by Prof.Suraj Here, Honourable, principal Dr.D.S.Dhote presented the annual progress report of the College, results of Board and University Examinations and various activities organized in the College. Mr.Pwan Solanke, President of student council presented the annual report of the activities held in the college by students. The College Annual Social Gathering was inaugurated by lightning the lamp at the hands of Honourable Shri.Ravi Rana and Dr.Ranjit Patil,with dignitaries of Shri Brijlal Biyani Shiksha Samiti, Amravai.
